Swimming lessons at Feltonfleet School in Cobham

"I had swimming lessons myself from the age of 3 to 13 and I can honestly say it wasnt nearly as interactive and fun as the lessons from Gogglesquad for our 3 year old twins." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"Excellent four-day course with Adam. He encouraged my six and three year olds to have fun but also to try new things, I wish it could have been for longer. Thanks for a great experience." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Swim lessons for babies, toddlers and preschoolers

Our baby, toddler and preschool swimming lessons are for children aged from 12 weeks to around four years old.

The early months are important for helping children get a feel for how their bodies move in the water.

The pool can be a daunting place, so they must feel in control at all times and having a parent or carer in the pool with them up to the age of three is essential.

Our classes utilise all types of play to develop the all-important building blocks required for confident and safe swimming.

Play is an important foundational component for early years lessons, encompassing schematic, imaginative, exploratory and constructive play.

Swim lessons for school-age learners (aged 4 and above)

If we could sum up our priority for this age group in a word, it would be ‘technique’. It’s the single most important element of swimming - if you can get a child's technique right, the rest will follow.

We follow the Swim England Learn To Swim Framework to deliver lessons for school-aged children.

With swimmers whose technique needs improving, we will go back to basics to ensure the fundamentals are in place before putting their stroke back together. We have an in/out of the water approach to teaching which offers a 360 degree view of progress. The instructor needs to be in the water to observe and correct a child ‘in the moment’ and also benefit from the bird’s eye view offered by a poolside vantage point.

  • Yes, there large male and female changing rooms with toilets and showers.

  • Yes, the pool is heated to between 28 and 32 degrees all year round.

  • Yes, one parent is welcome to observe the lesson. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate more than one adult per child.

  • Food and drink consumption is prohibited in the swimming pool area and changing rooms.

  • Swimsuits, towels, and goggles are recommended. We provide swim aids and everything else!

  • Lessons typically last 30 minutes for children though some lessons are 45 minutes long.

  • We operate a strict double nappy policy, which means we insist on a swim nappy and additional neoprene nappy over the top for babies and toddlers. If a child is not toilet trained or you there is a risk that there could be a 'leak' then it's the parent or carer's responsibility to ensure that a child is adequately protected.

This is an absolute non-negotiable condition of using our services. If a child turns up to swimming and is not in the appropriate nappy combo, they will not be able to participate in their lesson.
