About the Swimming Pool at Notre Dame School
Our Swim Club sessions are held in the superb 25x10-metre four-lane heated indoor pool at Notre Dame School.
With a depth ranging from 1 metre at the shallow end to 2.3 meters at the deep end, the pool caters to swimmers of all abilities.
The facilities include separate male and female changing rooms equipped with showers and toilets, as well as ample free parking in the car park directly opposite the pool.

Our Swim Club is designed for children and young swimmers who are confident in the water and want to develop their technique, endurance, and speed. It’s ideal for those who have completed swimming lessons and are looking to improve further without the pressure of competitive club swimming.

We welcome swimmers aged 7 and above who meet our entry-level swimming requirements. Older swimmers can continue training with us as they refine their skills and build their endurance.

Swimmers should be able to comfortably swim at least 25 metres in front crawl, backstroke, and breaststroke. While butterfly is not essential, a basic understanding is helpful.

Unlike standard swimming lessons, Swim Club sessions focus on fitness, endurance, and technique refinement rather than just learning to swim. Sessions include structured workouts, drills, and race-style challenges to help swimmers improve their speed and efficiency in the water.

All sessions are held in the 25-meter heated indoor pool at Notre Dame School, Cobham.

We cover all four strokes - front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly - along with improving starts, turns, and breathing techniques.

Our Swim Club is non-competitive, but we do prepare swimmers with skills and training methods used in competitive clubs. Swimmers looking for competitive progression can use our club as a stepping stone.

Yes, we try to group swimmers based on ability level rather than age, so everyone is challenged at the right pace for their development.

Payments can be monitored and paid using a debit or credit card through the Learner Portal. Fees are charged to the card entered into the Portal and cover lessons in the half-termly block ahead.
We will notify you via email in advance of payment stating the amount you will be charged and the dates the payment covers.
When you make your first payment, your card details can be securely stored by our card processor for future payments. Please contact us if you would like to delete your card details at any time.

No. GoggleSquad swimming lessons and club places are booked and paid for in advance of each half-term block.
Membership continues unless cancellation is given four weeks prior to the end of a half-term block.

Swimmers should bring:
A well-fitted swimsuit
Goggles
A swim cap
A water bottle for hydration
A towel and a change of clothes

We provide most training equipment, but swimmers may benefit from their own fins, kick board, or pull buoy. Your instructor will advise on this if needed.

Yes, all participants need a swim hat. We sell here here on our website.

Yes, parents can watch from designated viewing areas, but we encourage independent learning and confidence-building in the water.

Yes, ample free parking is available in the car park opposite the swimming pool.
Monitoring Progress

Our instructors provide regular feedback and monitor improvements in technique, speed, and stamina. We also offer skill assessments throughout the term.

Yes! Our training provides an excellent foundation for competitive swimming. If swimmers wish to compete, we can help guide them to the right next step.
Policies & Cancellations

We are unable to provide catch-up lessons, credits or refunds following absence for individual circumstances, as our costs are incurred whether or not a learner attends. Catch-up lessons are disruptive to the normal running of established classes, also classes are generally fully booked.
Refunds and credits will not be given if a learner refuses to take part in a lesson. Lesson fees are non-refundable if a learner has missed lessons or decided to withdraw once the half-term block has commenced.
Should a learner take a holiday during a block which results in lesson(s) being missed, you will still be charged in full. Their place will be retained on the course for the block that has been paid for.

Cancellations must be made four weeks before the half term block starts for a full refund.

Where lessons are cancelled by is due to circumstances beyond our control like an issue with the pool, power cuts, adverse weather or disasters, or as a result of a requirement to follow government guidance, a credit or alternative date for the lesson(s) will be offered.
